          Since the Warner Bros. masters were never released and the Capitol album, The Best of Gail Davies, was out of print, Gail decided to make an album that would always be available to her fans. In order to do this, she would have to own the masters. Recording artists on major record labels do not own their masters. They have to pay for making their albums out of the meager royalites they receive, but the masters are owned by the record companies for perpetuity, which in laymen terms means forever.
          Gail sold her house in 1996 to finance the recording of this album on her own label. Many of her old friends volunteered to add their talents to this project, including three members of The Country Music Hall of Fame: Emmylou Harris,Vince Gill and Ricky Skaggs.
