Though he was one of the greatest country artists of all time, Webb Pierce was not a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame as of the year 2000. In the summer of 2001, singer/songwriter and record producer Gail Davies organized and produced a tribute to this legendary artist and invited a few of her friends to join her. This spectacular tribute features George Jones, Emmylou Harris, Dwight Yoakam, Pam Tillis, Willie Nelson, The Del McCoury Band, Crystal Gayle, BR549, Dale Watson and The Jordanaires, Rosie Flores and many more. All the artists and musicians performing on this project donated their time and talent so that the proceeds could benefit the Minnie Pearl Cancer Foundation. Webb Pierce was inducted into the Hall of Fame shortly after the release of "Caught in the Webb."
